Outside with our Demonstrator
As always, things are busy here in our workshop based in Rotherham.
Outside at the moment, we have our Demonstrator ‘van, which we just can't help but keep tweaking! At the moment, Richard is putting some lithium on so we can show you all how good the lithium setup is.
All our ‘vans come with lead acid, but you can upgrade to a lithium package for an extra boost. We’re just about to install a 300-amp lithium battery system, and it will make this van incredible. You'll be able to forget about being off-grid constantly, and you don't have to worry about your electrics any longer.
MWB builds
Inside, we've got vans queuing up, waiting to come in for conversion. We're full steam ahead on the medium wheelbase builds now.
We've got quite a lot of them booked in, right through to around March/ April 2025. So if you’d like one of our new MWB ‘vans for next summer, you'd best get in quick because our order books do fill up fast!
New ‘vans coming your way
Some of the Micro Campers are also being worked on, with one of them being a new demonstrator or stock van.
Next to that, we have a new high-roof version of our MWB ‘van – our first L2 H2. It will be exactly like our usual MWB ‘vans that you already know and love, except it won’t have the elevating roof or the roof bed! Instead, it’s a nice simple two-berth option without a pop top, making it a full stand-up van ideal for taller clients, with the bonus of extra cupboard space in the upper roof. Keep an eye out for more info on this new ‘van soon!
New technology
We've had a few new additions into the unit recently.
We've got a new forklift, which lets us work safer and more efficiently in the workshop.
We're great believers in new machinery and the quality work a good machine can put out. Our new production manager, Marc Hopkins, has brought years of experience running production teams at Swift to us, and he is helping us streamline production even further.
We've also installed a new CNC machine, which has a larger than average 10 x 5 bed and multi-head tool changing capabilities. This enables us to be more efficient producing more precise work pieces. Our investment in this new machine will keep us at the forefront of campervan production.
A new welcome area
We're building a new welcome area for our customers. It’s going to have a workstation, so you can catch up with work whilst having minor work done here on your campervan such as habitation checks and upgrades.
You're also welcome to sit and relax in our new welcome area where we will have a viewing window through to the workshop. Why not have a cuppa whilst keeping an eye out for your van in build! We’re really excited to open this in 2025.
