Pop tops, high tops… traditionally these have been the main two options for campervans. But what if you want a little more flexibility?
Introducing our new high roof ‘vans!
These are now a new option on our Trouvaille Clasique MWB Fiat Ducato ‘vans, arriving this Feb/March.
But don’t wait too long if you’re interested, as we only have five Manual L2H2 and five Automatic L2H2 ‘vans available with the 2025 reg.
In fact, the very first high roof MWB ‘van is currently in-build, so watch this space for completed photos and a YouTube video tour!
For now, Richard has filmed a video showing us round the in-build ‘van so far…
As Richard explains in the video above, the high roof L2H2 will be identical to the low roof pop top version, but with a higher roof, so you can stand up fully!
A pop top roof can also be fitted to any high roof MWB Fiat Ducato to give a 4-berth option on an L2H2 van (POA).
Why go for a high roof MWB?
You can stand up fully
If you’re on the taller side, or just like a bit of a roomier feel inside your ‘van, having an area where you can properly stand up makes for a much more comfortable ‘van experience. All without needing to ‘pop’ the roof!
Much more light
The biggest difference in this new high roof ‘van is there is no upper bed, making it a two-berth ‘van (as above, you can make this a four-berth by adding a pop top).
Instead we have two beautiful skylights which will flood the ‘van with so much light.
Two berth - but plenty of bed space!
And so, while the roof bed isn’t included, you have the option of a bunk bed across the front seat, so you can still take the grandchildren (or any loved ones!) away with you on your travels.
Of course, the rear seats can become two single beds, which can be pushed together to make a double bed, too.
Plenty of storage
With the high top, you also get extra storage around the roof, including a front bedding cupboard - plus a full-height bathroom.
As a reminder, if you'd like to make this a 4-berth camper (where you can stand up AND have a roof bed), we can also add a pop top to the high roof!
Warmer
A ‘van with a high roof will be warmer than the pop top version too. This is important if you want to go out in cooler weather (or a typical British summer!) and better in the rain, too, as you don’t have to dry out the canvas.
Layout option 2 includes an electric flushing toilet
Lastly, as this has the same layout as our other option 2 ‘vans, so you get the rear kitchen and the all-important Thetford electric flush toilet.
