What better way to test the new Trouvaille Classique MWB 'van than with a 10-day test drive?! We packed up the kids and headed off to beautiful Cornwall over the May half-term holiday - keep reading to find out how we got on!
Alright, we’ve just come back from our first road trip in the Trouvaille Classique MWB… so, what’s the Tomlin verdict?
Well, we say we stay in our ‘vans as a family – and that is precisely what we did last week in Mevagissey, Cornwall.

Here are some of the reasons we loved it…
There’s so much storage! We really noticed when we packed the van that everything had a place. And that will be because there really are endless storage solutions in this ‘van – more so than the average campervan!
Sonya was in campervan kitchen heaven cooking on the 3 burner hob, and that bin is so handy!
Take a look at this quick video from Richard of how we got on cooking (and a peek at the loo!)...
The worktop extension is mega practical; not just for cooking, but also for using this as a breakfast bar before you put the bed away in the mornings.
And it was wonderful to have a proper loo! The bathroom storage is brilliant for keeping toiletries neat.
We took the rail down as we found it to be a bit in the way. Dropdown hooks may be more practical for hanging wet towels, so this will be an alternative option.
The storage to the rear of the van for chairs, etc works very well and we were fully kitted out for the beach.
Watch Richard’s quick video showing how we set up the awning (and our storage space)...
We loved having the back doors open on an eve when cooking – gives such a feeling of space and warmth when the sun is streaming in – Joy. ☀️
A quick look at the door canopy we had up to allow the ‘van to feel even more spacious...
The hose tap is superb after a day at the beach. It extends far enough to wash off sandy feet, and Charlie found a clever shower mode on the tap itself! (Well done, Charlie!)
The fridge – don’t get us started – this is awesome! Love it being at eye level and the fact it has so many shelves you can easily access your food and see what you have in there.
That little pop-up table is so useful when you have a cuppa and need somewhere to park it, or if you want an area to sit and eat without getting the big table out.
Plus, it’s super when travelling. We said the only thing that was lacking was cup holders for the kids, so we are looking into this.
And what about the all-important kid's verdict? Well… they loved the pop top!
And they didn’t just sleep up there either! On rainy evenings, they had movie nights up there with their friends.
There was no problem with the kids in bed – we could still stand, cook and use the toilet.
And for us adults - we found the double bed super comfy. We slept on it for 10 nights and said regularly how much we loved getting in it!
And lastly - how was parking?
Well, we found it very easy to park and we got down all of the very narrow roads you find in Cornwall – we never ran into any issues. Phew!
We even parked in St Mawes Harbour, so the kids could go crabbing, and it is tiny!
