THOUGHTS FROM THE WORKSHOP

'Mini motorhome to rival the VW': What our clients are saying about the Trouvaille Classique MWB campervan!

whybuy Trouvaille

We launched our new Trouvaille Classique Medium Wheel-Based campervan earlier in 2024, and it is now available for order.

But why should you buy the new MWB from us at Orange Campers? Read our blog for an in-depth look at the ‘van and all the reasons why you should consider making one your own.

But today, we want to share some of the reasons why our happy customers bought the MWB and why they are loving their new ‘vans!

Here’s a few of our happy customers’ (many!) reasons for choosing the Trouvaille Classique MWB:

It's a mini motorhome that requires much less compromise than the average campervan...

Peter had already put a deposit down on an LWB VW, but after seeing our MWB changed his mind. Peter says:

On seeing your advert, and confirming that it was of the required configuration, we were immediately impressed by the enormous amount of space available together with obvious build quality.

Then, on exploring the myriad of helpful videos, we were able to gain a full picture of the innovation and attention to detail.

Being experienced ex-motor homers, we concluded that the Trouvaille Classique (option 2) is, in effect, a mini motor home and, as such, substantially eliminates the compromises inherent in most camper vans.

Heading for Rotherham to view it, we agreed that we'd be surprised if we didn't like it and, indeed, would have nowhere else to go if that was the case.

No need for a high top as you can stand up with the roof down! There's more space than the VW or Ford...

Kev is a first-time buyer who previously hired a campervan in New Zealand and is an avid YouTube fan of Richard's! Kev says: Like many previous customers, we were looking for a compact campervan that we could use as a daily driver but was big enough to be comfortable to live in for extended holidays.

Having looked at the VW and Ford offerings, we decided they were just too small whereas we were immediately impressed by the space in the Orange Campers’ Trouvaille.

Original thoughts were to buy the SWB high top version as we didn’t need the extra beds and wanted the extra storage space.

When the new MWB version came it made sense to take a look – and we are glad we did!

From just looking at Richards's videos, we were somewhat lukewarm on the option 2 layout; however, after viewing it at the Newbury show, we were immediately impressed by the huge kitchen area and cooking facilities.

The fact that we could stand up with the roof down also meant that we did not need to get a high top.

The fact that Orange Campers offer contemporary interiors (not beige!) is also a huge plus!

We hired the demo van for three nights and loved the space and flexibility that the MWB offers—so much so that we now have one on order!

The single beds are much easier to manoeuvre!

Judith upgraded to the MWB from her Trouvaille Classique SWB pop top. Judith says: Having had the SWB Trouvaille for 2 years and loving every moment of it, the slightly longer version with the new layout was very interesting to me for a number of reasons.

1) The big, 3-seat, bed in the SWB is great, but the back section is too heavy for me to lift up. With the MWB being 2 large seats, the weight is, obviously, half and therefore more manageable.

Though the MWB van is then a 4-seat, it is very, very rare to need the 5 seats of the SWB.

2) You can configure the 2 seats as 2 beds (great if I am using the van for a break with a friend) or move together as a large double. Plus, neither bed set up has the edge of a bed right up next to a wardrobe 😉

3) The slim tall fridge, being positioned mid-height, is easy to get items out from compared to the floor fridge in the SWB.

4) I love the larger 3 burner hob with a surround all the way around and separate larger sink & tap. Balancing 2 pans on the SWB hob can be a little tricky! And the tap having a removable flexi hose is very useful.

5) And of course, the ‘built in’ loo with its flush and removable base cassette will be that little bit more civilised than the porta potti.

6) Lastly, the long walkway the length of the van will be very useful for carrying longer, large items should we ever need to.

Having driven the SWB for 2 years, we are very accustomed to the width and height and hope we soon adjust to the little extra length 😊
