What our customers say:
CAMPERVAN ROOF CONVERSION
"We found this company to convert our VW camper from poptop to hightop and are delighted with result.
Their communication and work has been brilliant. They are approachable friendly and trustworthy.
We would have no hesitation in using them again ourselves and recommending them to others."
DON'T WASTE TIME - GO STRAIGHT TO ORANGE
"We went to the campervan & caravan show intending to buy a certain make of van and stopped at the Orange stand to prove to ourselves we were making the right choice.
Within 10 minutes it was patently obvious we were about to make the wrong choice because Richard, Sonya and the Orange campers crew are streets ahead of any other van.
Don’t waste your time with others- go straight to them."
THE PERFECT CAMPERVAN FOR US
"We have had our Trouvaille Classique SWB campervan 4 years now and spent over 200 nights away. We just love it. The size is perfect for the two of us, it fits on the drive and in a normal parking space. You can drive down most roads with ease. We sleep better in the van then we do at home - I think being outside in nature and free from those everyday chores helps!
We upgraded recently to a lithium battery which means with the solar panel we rarely need to hook up and can easily camp off grid if able. The quality of the build is fantastic and the help and service from Richard and Jessica has always been first class."
SUPEREB CAMPERVANS AND BRILLIANT TEAM
"We’ve had our superb Orange Trouvaille high top campervan since May 2023 and have had many exciting adventures in it.
We cannot speak highly enough of the Orange team and their campervan designs.
They are just brilliant-so well designed, storage everywhere, little design features which make you smile, great to drive and relax in, we really cannot praise the Orange team enough! We are just so pleased we came across them at a campervan show.
The support from the team is amazing after purchase and you feel like part of the family with their annual campouts and regular newsletters and YouTube videos. Any problems arising are sorted out by them and upgrades can easily be done later on if required (lithium battery, solar panel upgrades, flyscreens etc). We would never go anywhere else now for a campervan!"
SIMPLY THE BEST
"We’ve had our van for a couple of years and spent some time researching the options… but as soon as we met Richard & Sonya and saw the Orange campers set up we knew we’d found the perfect van.
Cannot praise them and their expertise highly enough…
no hard sell just shining enthusiasm for their excellent product."
POP TOP TO HIGH TOP CONVERSION
"We have just got our VW camper back after Orange fitted a high top roof to replace our pop-top. We went for their full lithium package too, and solar and WiFi.
All fitted so well by their guys who have done a fantastic job. Richard and the team have to be the nicest people to do business with.
So many great ideas to help us get the best out of the conversion and they have really gone above and beyond with their attention to detail. Thoroughly recommend them to anyone thinking of doing the same."
A COMPACT MICRO CAMPER
"Van size is not an issue for us. Our Van is compact but we think of it as the perfect size. It's just big enough and at the same time it's just small enough.
We can go a lot of places in towns and cities that motorhomes can't and we can do narrow single track roads that motorhomes can't do.
We actually removed the bike rack and travel with our bikes inside the Van. It's a bit of a tight squeeze but we do it.
We are actually taking the Van to Germany next month for 2 weeks to the Euros football 2024. Along with 100,000 other daft Scots! And we're taking both our sons in the Van!!
Yes, 4 of us. The 2 boys will sleep up top. It will be a tight squeeze and we will probably all fall out with each other over the 2 weeks but it will be a laugh too."

INCREDIBLY HELPFUL
"A friendly and efficient family firm.
The whole team were incredibly helpful with planning and fitting out our new campervan.
The design and extras they incorporate in their vans reflect the fact that Richard and Sonya are keen campervanners themselves."

EXTREMELY CUSTOMER FOCUSED
"I recently had a High Top fitted to my LWB VW campervan, and the whole experience, from the preliminary discussions through to the final delivery was exceptional.
Very professional and extremely customer focused all the way through. And the quality of the finished product was superb.
Richard, Sonya, Jessica and the team were a real pleasure to do business with."

A BIG THUMBS UP
I have just returned from NEC motorhome show, I had a smug sense of satisfaction looking round the other vans, recognising that an Orange campervan is far superior to any other van of this size they had on show! A big thumbs up for your company!
- Rosalind via FB, Classique Owner, 2023
"We thought the same when we went!"
-Kev and Jan Kingsnorth
Just had a great weekend in Sherwood Forest. As you say lovely and cosy and lots of room to entertain some family. Long walk in the woods and delicious hot chocolate with a few crossword puzzles...beats sitting at home watching the rain! We love our Trouvaille. It has been absolutely life changing!
- Janine, Classique Owner, 2023
THE SPACE AND STORAGE IS HUGE
"We have had our fiat ducato short wheel base since May. The whole experience with Richard, Sonya Jessica and the team has been excellent.
The attention to detail on the van is great. The space and storage for a 5m van is huge.
Any problems were sorted promptly. I would highly recommend this family firm."

A GREAT, BIG, LITTLE VAN
"We are just on our way home (M25, oh joy) from a fab 10 days in France following the Tour de France at 4 stages. 1,750 miles in total.

We spent 5 nights roadside, no EHU, no facilities (other than water and waste at 2 places) and Leo, Trouvaille #14, performed perfectly.

Thank you to everyone at Orange Campers for such a great, big, little van. We squeezed into the remaining spaces at a few stages, manoeuvred with ease among some big motorhome units and picked up quite a few admiring glances, though our fab flag display may have also been a factor.

Now for some serious deep cleaning before a few days on the Isle of Wight"

A SIMILAR FEELING BETWEEN OUR CUSTOMERS
We are both genuinely excited at the potential new layout suggested by Richard.
So much so, that we both walked away and said, ‘That’s it - nobody else will build our van.’
We feel that Orange campers represent the ideal solutions for van conversions, a high standard, quality build and we don’t want to look anywhere else.
So, Orange is the colour…
We were exactly the same too. Yours was the first (& best!) conversion we saw in 2020 at the Malvern show
…and we thought were just looking for a post Covid day out …who knew we’d up buying in to a whole new lifestyle we didn’t know we were missing!
We felt exactly the same after seeing Orange at the Harrogate show!
So we bought number 040 and could not be happier! Best decision we ever made.
See you all at the camp out in the Peak District!

WE FELL IN LOVE WITH IT IMMEDIATELY
Having spent many happy times in 'Vera' our T5 VW pop top camper, we decided (as not getting any younger!) that a similar length van with a high top was the next step.
So began the search. After viewing numerous styles and makes (Westfalia Nugget, Devon Firefly, Wildax Pulsar, Autosleeper Symbol, Hymer Ayres Rock) found all had too many compromises. It also confirmed the fact that for us, a shower was not such an important factor as the feeling of space and practical storage.
In February we stumbled across a 'Youtube' video of the Trouvaille Classique high top, and thought Wow! that looks promising.
It was the Monday following the Peterborough Show, so all vans were still there. However, Jessica very kindly arranged for Richard to bring the van back earlier than planned for a viewing.
We fell in love with it immediately. The feeling of space was incredible for such a small van. The build quality was excellent, providing well thought out, practical storage solutions. It was obvious that it had been designed by someone who actually uses campervans.
Richard, Sonya and Jessica could not have been more helpful, even providing invaluable assistance with the sale of our VW.
We picked up 'Tilly' on the 15th February and have just returned from our first outing to Castleton, where she was really put to the test with snow and -3 temperatures. Everything worked perfectly and she passed with flying colours, attracting attention from fellow campers intrigued by the size and interior design.
If 'Trouvaille' is French for 'a lucky find,' then in our case it certainly was.
It is lovely to have found a small family company who take great care and pride in the vans they produce, giving confidence to new owners that a solution can always be found for any problems that may arise.
The team at Orange Campers were always available to offer advice and help, and would highly recommend getting in touch if a small, well thought out camper is what you require.
We give them a thoroughly well deserved 5* rating

TOP OF THE POPS
We collected our Orange Campers’ Trouvaille Classique in January 2023 and are extremely pleased with the quality of the build, the thoughtfulness of the design and the personal service we received from Orange Campers throughout the process. Orange is a family-run firm that builds most of its campervans to order, allowing a high degree of personalisation around standardised layouts. Ours is a short wheelbase pop-top built to our selection of base vehicle specification and personalised choice of colours for the canvas, upholstery, furniture and flooring. We have completed three trips away in the first two months and look to ramping that up as the weather improves but can certainly attest to the Trouvaille’s suitability for year-round use.
We first met Richard and Sonya from Orange Campers at the Harrogate show, where they were exhibiting Pop-top and High-top Trouvailles. We were immediately struck by the additional space that the Ducato base vehicle provided in both height and width over a VW which, coupled with the Orange interior design, gave a much lighter and airier feel to the campervan - and yet retained the immensely practical 5m van length but with travel seats for 5 adults. We were so impressed we booked a try-before-you-buy hire over the Easter weekend – a trip that would confirm the practicality of the Trouvaille Classique.
On dropping the van back, we spent time in the factory with Richard and Sonya reviewing options for a van of our own. We didn’t order straight away but took our time over the summer to look at a whole range of other options and to think through what we really wanted out of a camper or motorhome. But in the end nothing came close to the practicality of the Trouvaille and we placed our order at the end of August.
Sonya and Richard then guided us through the various options available on the base vehicles, the internal layout and appliances, and the accessories to personalise our vehicle specification. The Trouvaille comes very well spec’d compared to most other campers we considered, so don’t need to opt for anything more, but the options are there if you do. We went for an automatic transmission, an additional rear window to improve visibility for rear passengers (thoroughly recommend both), a custom colour scheme throughout and a number of other accessories. Once the specification was agreed, Jessica then ably managed us through the build process through to completion.
And the end result – even better than we imagined. We have been very impressed by the build quality – there’s not a rattle or creak from the conversion at all - and even once filled it’s so well designed that it’s possible to pack it to avoid travel noise (except over the harshest of potholes). We are now looking forward to many more adventures to come.

FROM HIRING TO BUYING
"Currently I have a smaller camper van so decided to hire the new Actif to see if it would give me more space for longer trips.
Anyone who has driven a Ford should find it familiar and it was easy to drive. The Actif also had an optional reversing camera so no problems with parking. Weather was fairly gloomy/wet but the interior of the Actif was light and cosy with the LPG heater and the pop-top roof coped with the wind and at times heavy rain.
The 90 litre fridge is almost twice the capacity of my current van fridge and this would allow me to store more food for longer trips.
The two position table allowed me to use it as an extended worktop, when preparing food, which I struggle with on my current van.The blackout blinds worked well and I prefer these to the normal curtains fitted to most vans"

A SPACIOUS CAMPERVAN
"How great is this van! While VW campervans do have a certain "cool" reputation, Ruth and I both felt that we needed more space if we were going to cope with van life for extended periods in damp Ireland and beyond.

The Orange Campers Trouvaille Classic is based on a Fiat Ducato, specifically the L1H1, short wheelbase, low roof model. It is amazingly spacious and the extra headroom over a VW or Ford Transit means my wife can stand up with the pop-top down! I am 5'10" and just have to stoop a little while standing - I would have to be on my knees in a VW! It also means that in cold or very windy weather you can live perfectly comfortably with the roof down. When the roof is up it is like a Tardis - tons of room for 4 adults to socialise if the weather is inclement.....an essential benefit in Ireland!
Our van has everything you could reasonably need or want in a van, all finished to an extremely high standard and constantly being upgraded, tweaked and improved to make it even more usable - we were supplied with the newly designed roof, a pleasant surprise. Rich is a perfectionist and takes such pride in doing the job properly.

And have I mentioned it is spacious? Our VW friends are all about lightweight, foldable equipment and cutting out everything but essential items. We have so much storage I almost feel guilty - proper chairs, full size kettle, all manner of clutter and still plenty of space for more.

Finally, there was dealing with Orange Campers themselves. Sonya and Richard could not have been more patient and accommodating. Sonya constantly put my mind at ease through supply chain issues and Fiat delays, eventually sorting us with a new van she had held back, when the one we had ordered failed to appear. They honoured all our original choices and even threw in some upgrades at the handover to make up for our Fiat troubles. A most professional and caring operation which extends to the other front of house staff member, Jessica, who was so helpful and long suffering in answering all manner of queries. I cannot recommend this small family company enough. They deserve to succeed"

IMPRESSED WITH THE BUILD QUALITY & DESIGN
"We picked up Katie on Thursday and on Friday set off for a wedding in Lincolnshire, getting around 40 mpg.
Out first pitch was a friend's drive, but it was a brilliant spot looking out over corn fields, see photo.
Everything was really easy to use in the van, although we haven't had to cook yet as we were well catered for over the weekend!
Thank you so much for all your help and hard work. We really love the van and all the family are very impressed with the build quality and design."

DELIGHTED WITH MY
TROUVAILLE CAMPERVAN
"I am delighted with my Trouvaille campervan purchased from Orange Campers.
From the first visit to Harrogate Motorhome show last year, both Sonya and Richard guided me over the following months through the process of choosing the interior and furnishings.
The van was completed on schedule and is exactly what I had hoped for. It is light and spacious inside, due to the extra width, and finished to a very high standard.
As I am very short, Richard adjusted the driving position, and consequently I find it very easy to drive.
I have completed my first two outings with it, attracting a lot of attention and positive comments. I plan to explore some remote areas of Scotland this summer, relying on the benefit of the large solar panel on the roof, which will allow me to go off grid.
Thank you Richard and Sonya for all the guidance and support you have given me. I look forward to many years of exploration!"
VERY FUNCTIONAL &
PERFECTLY MEETS OUR NEEDS
"We spent many, many months considering which campervan to buy for our family of four and we are so pleased we chose one from Orange Campers. We wanted something spacious enough for us to all to be comfortable in, even on cold and wet days, but small enough that it could still be driven down narrow country lanes and parked without hassle. The Fiat Ducato H1L1 is just perfect.
From our initial contact, right through to the after sales care, we have found Richard and Sonya really easy to deal with as well as knowledgeable and helpful in all aspects of the design and build process. Their experience and advice based on many campervan trips with their own young family, alongside Richard’s attention to detail and the thought he has put into every aspect of the van, has meant we now have a camper which not only looks great but is very functional and perfectly meets our needs. We opted for the exterior pop-top wrap which we would recommend if you plan on using the van in cold weather -our boys slept very comfortably in the pop-top in December. We also love the roof ladder and the very specious fridge-freezer.
We would wholeheartedly recommend Orange Campers to anyone looking for a conversion. Thank you so much, Richard and Sonya!"

WE WOULDN'T CHANGE A THING
"We collected our Trouvaille campervan from Orange Campers just before we set out on our holidays. We were thrilled with the fixtures and fittings - really functional, excellent quality, very well fitted, and it looks so good! Our last minute choice of a royal blue canvas for the roof was inspired - and makes the outside distinctive and the inside a lovely colour at night. Our grandchildren loved the upstairs bed and two of them shared it each night for a week.
We were amazed at the amount of storage, and kept discovering useful shelves or cupboards, that we hadn’t spotted before.
All our friends who came to look at it while we were on holiday commented on the quality and the appearance.
Despite not being very practical, we quickly learned how to use all the functions in the van, as everything has been so well thought out, and works logically! It was easy to drive and handles v well even on narrow North Wales lanes.
Throughout both Richard and Sonya have helped us, with guidance about the choices we have made, and we wouldn’t change a thing! We are very excited about the prospect of many years travelling the roads in the UK and abroad.

EASY TO DRIVE, COMFY &
A PLACE WE CAN RELAX
"We had been looking for a campervan for some months. A van we could take more or less anywhere and could park on our drive or normal parking space. [...] It was at a show in Peterborough we came upon Orange Campers, and the Trouvaille. We were immediately struck by the light spacious interior and harmonious finish.
As we got talking to Richard his passion for campervans and particularly this one he had created based on his many years experience as a vehicle engineer, craftsman and end user quickly became apparent. He pointed out some of the finer details like the fully insulated carpeted interior, the integrated gas bottles and heater, solar panel, double glazed window, myriad of lights, USB ports and fitted blinds all round. For two 6 footers, the fact we can nearly stand up straight without popping open the top and sleep well in the 4’6 bed makes life comfortable. The swivel front seats and bed up top mean a family could easily use this van.
From first meeting to delivery Richard and Sonya could not do enough to help and have willingly sorted out a few minor teething problems and answered all our questions since taking delivery in September. We have of course only got away for a few long weekends but have found the Trouvaille easy to drive, comfy and most of all a place we can relax and get away from the stresses of work and home. We would thoroughly recommend this family run business and cant wait to start on our bucket list of places to visit as soon as this pandemic allows."
